dating :: no this isn't a pitiful cry out about the girl who never gets asked out. although I could write about that too, I won't

Conversation at work always revert back to women and men and relationships. Why? Probably because it is such a general subject and pretty much every person has a thought or two about it.

Most of the time I just sit there and laugh about what the guys say and then shortly I'd like to punch them because women are the best thing to walk this earth. *getting off the soap box*

Tonight the joking and "all talk" became a heated discussion about the guys being corrupt. I think they say some things that shouldn't be said about women in front of women, but I do think they are good guys all around. I just had to laugh a little driving home when I was thinking about all of it. Be careful what you say because someone there, no matter where you are, may get offended and spout off for a good 20 minutes about what they have to say.

When I hear these conversations about women and men I see how much the world has changed and what the norms are for today in the dating/relationship world. So much is expected, things are read wrong, and people are too afraid.

And me and my dateless self just sits there and thinks, "All I want is to walk around temple square and maybe get a hot chocolate."

If I said that statement aloud, I'm sure I would hear, "Who's the guy?" "How long have you known him?" "Think this could turn into something serious?"

Why do we analyze? It just makes life so complicated.

I just want to go out one date where we just go and have fun and forget about everything else.

p.s. sorry this was a rant.

sorry sorry

Some things are just too wonderful. I apologize for not blogging about life in a while. So here's what goin' down in the life of a college girl who hates astronomy.

I love UVU's library database Academic Search Premier. Holy moly. My first time using the database, I just sat there smiling and feeling so giddy. Is it okay to be giddy about a database? Nope, but I am weird and that's just how it goes.

Somehow it seems like I am the only red head who wears a fur lined coat and listens to primary songs while wandering about campus. I love that I'm a nonconformist. I'm also that girl who wears a bright yellow coat and a magenta coat. And don't you little worry, my research paper is about the controversies with the Julie and Julia Project.

I love love love my job! I help people go back to college and it feels so good to be really serving people. I also absolutely love my team. My life would be boring without them. They're teaching me everyday... mostly how to *spit game* HAHAHA. Laughing so hard.... Also the guys never fail to mention how women need to make men sandwiches. I did once. And now the feminist streak in me is ashamed.

Life is wonderful and Christmas is coming!
