You are all going to hate me for this post, but frankly, I don't give a hootenanny.
Today I listened to Christmas music. I did, just because I wanted to see if it would make me sick, or if I'd be giddy and excited. I ended up feeling so excited about the holidays.
I think the reason why I am so excited is because, when I was a kid that was the time of the year with the best parties, lovely movies, snow, cute clothes, and lights, and hot chocolate. My family had the BEST parties. and I don't care what you think, but we did.
Now over the years so many things have changed within the family, but the rest of us who love each other have good relationships and hopefully in a couple of years there will be even more added to the fam. That really gives me hope that we will make holidays just as lovely as they were when I was kid.
pulling taffy, caroling, ornaments, hot chocolate, ice skating... I guess the reason I am so giddy about it is because it seems like a magical time and the best time of the year for family, friends and falling in love.
