This morning while I got ready, I listened to Moonlight Serenade. I love big band music, especially big band love songs. I remember listening to that kind of music at my grandparents, or listening to the ball game on the radio; with the swings on the back porch and that old table from a spool of something, some kind of cord I guess. I miss those days so much lately.
There is an older couple that lives below us a bit and one day I walked past and their screen door was open. It was the weirdest thing because it smelled just like my grandma Beth's and grandpa Jay's house. Again, yesterday walking into institute I smelled all of the roses that line the right side of the steps going in, and was reminded of all of the pink roses lining the walkway of their sidewalk.
I am always running around from place to place, which means I'm going up and down stairs a lot because I live on the 3rd floor. Sy, the old man from below wears hats, and blue jeans just like my grandpa Jay. A while ago, after taking Bridger to football, I was walking back from the parking and Sy said,"You're back now huh?" I replied with a short, "Yeah, I am." He came back at me with, "Well serves ya right." Of course that also reminded me of my grandpa. He was such a good man, with a good heart and he loved my Grandma Beth more than anything else.
Cheers!
love, Maddie Violet
