You know that Christmas movie called Santa Clause is Comin' to Town and there is the island of misfit toys? My life is similar, except I am on the island of social misfits.
Some people are just too impossible for me to talk to. It's like total panic, pull-out-your-cell-phone and-act-like-your-busy. WHY DO I DO THIS?
Apparently, saying a five letter word, (hello), is more than I can muster. I spent the way home from school chastening myself for lack of courage. It's clear that I have not internalized the benefits of 20 seconds of insane courage and embarrassing bravery. Heaven help me.
Cheers! Also, advice is clearly needed at this point.

Maddie, my only advice to anyone looking for more courage is, "don't be weird."
But you don't really need this advice.
You are not a weird person. You're adorable and smart. You may be a little shy, but everyone is! Don't worry so much, and just say what's on your mind. Put as much of what you're all about out there, and people who like it will catch on. The people who don't aren't worth the time anyway.
Also, I recommend the book "What I Wish I Would Have Known When I Was Single." At least I liked it a lot.
