poem my brother wrote

Our Founding Fathers

I am a radiant ram, desperate to win the fight
The moon smiles upon me while I escape into the night
With independence in reach, our efforts are valiant
We fight for the women and children, vulnerable to the jaws of dictatorship
Like a knife wound piercing the skin, the shot heard ‘round the world will be remembered forever
O listen to the reaction from our fellow leaders!

The glass has broken, shattering in the faces of the royal family
For on the morrow we fight for freedom
Praying to God we live to see sun shining after cannon-fire is exchanged
Can but one man see the glimmer of hope in the tunnel of war?
I say to you men, arise and take arms, for the war has just begun

Politicians are secret rebels, ready to attack
Thy majesty of the world, our odds are just
Our spirit is too strong to smite down with manpower
Surrender now or fear our rebellion forever

-My brother wrote this poem and he wanted me to post it on my blog. Let me know what you think! He is an excellent writer for being 15, actually he was 14 when he wrote it.

Cheers for Monday and carving pumpkins at FHE. woohoo!

love, Maddie Violet

14?! That is good writing for a grown man.
