country, brad paisley, and xp

So, I actually have something really exciting to blog about today. My niece Anna has a rare disease called "XP" for short. She can't be exposed to sunlight (UV rays) or she will get skin cancer because her skin cannot heal itself. 

Brad Paisley was in town tonight for his SLC concert and he is a huge supporter of the XP foundation as well as his lovely wife. Brad's manager gave us free tickets on the front row with a meet and greet. Brad Paisley was kind and it was so fun to go! 

I've been to 4 of his concerts now, but this one was extra special. Anna, my 3 year old niece was there with us waving to him while he was singing and he said, "Hey baby girl!" He was so sweet and held her hand for a bit. Then one of the openers did the same thing but later. At the very end of the concert after the encore, he came up to my niece and gave her his cowboy hat!! It was real neat and you can bet that I wore that hat all the way home!
